Welcome to APEX
APEX Consulting Group is a student-led consulting organization at the University of Michigan. With 50 current members hailing from diverse academic and personal backgrounds and 100+ alumni strong, APEX has served over 130 local businesses, innovative startups, and industry leaders all around the country through semester-long projects, providing clients with data-driven, strategic, and growth-oriented recommendations and impact.
Along with these projects, APEX aids members in securing the professional and personal development they need to succeed in any field or industry through hands-on experience, mentorship, and consulting treks, all while being surrounded by an empathetic, family-like community.

On behalf of APEX Consulting Group, thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are and what we do. APEX is more than just an undergraduate consulting organization at the University of Michigan–it's a vibrant community of over 50 diverse members who come together to grow professionally and personally.
For both of us, APEX has been one of the most meaningful parts of our college experience. We still remember walking into our first APEX events as fall semester freshmen, feeling nervous because we didn’t really know what consulting was. But from those first few conversations, we felt at home. Joining together in the fall of 2023 was one of the best decisions of our lives, because APEX helped us find ourselves as people, what we wanted to do as a career, and some of our best friends on campus.
The encouragement, mentorship, and kindness we found here are what truly set APEX apart. Whether it was asking someone to review our resumes, calling for hours to figure out what careers we were interested in, or finding someone to grab a sweet treat with at night, there was always someone not willing, but wanting to show up.
The professional development we’ve gained through APEX is unparalleled. When we joined, neither of us really knew what we wanted to do, and while one of us ended up in consulting and the other in software engineering, APEX supported both paths from the start. Whether it was late-night casing, interview prep, or just honest conversations about different careers and industries, APEX upperclassmen always made sure we were 100% ready going into any interview or information session. That willingness to invest in each other and genuinely want everyone to succeed is something that’s stuck with us.
APEX also has an inspiring history that we are proud to be a part of. Since its founding in 2012, APEX has grown into a dynamic organization that partners with clients of all sizes – from local businesses to innovative technology startups to Fortune 500 industry leaders – spanning industries and sectors around the world.
